Curriculum and course design

What it is

Curriculum built from the outcome backward. Course maps, scope and sequence, unit and lesson architecture, and alignment to the standards the course has to answer to: College Board frameworks, state standards, Common Core literacy, and University of California a-g criteria when a course needs formal approval.

What you get

A design document specific enough to defend in a scoping meeting, then the course itself: units, lessons, assessments, and the exit checks written before the content so the content cannot drift from what it was supposed to teach. Where approval is required, the submission package and the revisions to carry it through.

How it usually runs

Discovery on the learning goals, audience, and constraints. A map you can push back on before anything is built. Then the build in reviewable stages, with a working draft in front of you at each one rather than a finished product at the end.
